An alternate way to crowdfunding that uses the itch.io platform rather than Kickstarter that was started in the indie TTRPG community that communicates through Twitter and Discords. Itchfunding has also been described as de-greening (as it started as a way for creators to get away from and disengage with the Kickstarter platform).
